Established in 2006 after years of planning,
we are working to make our dreams become reality.
The Painted Canvas Farm crew is made up of me (Kristin)
my husband Bryce, and our boys, Caleb, age 13, and Clayton, age 8.
Both Bryce and I work full time off the farm so horse training, farm updates and maintenance happen
in the evening or weekends. Foaling, of course, happens when it wants to - we just try to catch it.
Our foals are stalled and dry lotted for the first week of their lives. They are handled daily.
At one week, mom and baby are turned out into a paddock
and eventually introduced back into the herd.
All of our horses are exposed to dogs, 4 wheelers, and loud little boys.
We firmly believe good home grown Appaloosas are the only way to go.
