                              Missouri Corn Sacks

As legend has it, in an old rural Missouri farmhouse, the

nightswere warmer with a corn sack.  During the day, a

large pan for shelled corn was under the wood-burning cook

stove.  Before bed, Mom would distribute the corn sacks, one

to each member of the family.  That hot corn warmed the bed,

feet, or anything for quite a while.  Every morning before

breakfast, the corn was returned to the pan under the stove

to warm for the next evenings use.

Your corn sack will not only warm your bed at night, but

will also double as a heating pad.  There is no magic or

medicinein your sack... Just a little nostalgia, a few pounds

of  Missouri corn and simple old fashion warmth.

To purchase your corn sacks, contact us  or call Sherry at

417-321-2159. Corn bags are $4.95 each plus shipping and handling.

Directions for use:

Todays microwave makes heating the

corn sack much easier. Heat the entire

sack on full power for approximately

2 1/2 minutes.

(Every microwave is

different)  Remember, the corn may

get VERY HOT, be careful not to burn

 yourself.  When using the corn

sack, you may notice the corn aroma.

 (This does not

hinder the performance of the

corn sack.)  The slip can

be washed, but DO NOT  wash the corn sack.

As an added bonus you can use it as an ice

bag by sealing the corn bag in a plastic zip

lock baggie to keep

out any moisture and then placing it in

the freezer.

It stays cold for hours.  Remember to always

keep the corn sack dry! Enjoy!
